Resources and guidelines for referencing Hangar.
Naming
When referring to the application, please use:
- Hangar (Primary)
- Hangar for Bluesky (Descriptive)
Do not use: "Hangar Blue" or "The Hangar".
Tagline
"Your Bluesky home base"
Colors
Our primary brand color is based on the GNOME Adwaita palette (Blue 3).
Logo & Assets
App Icon
The primary Hangar icon. Use this when representing the application itself.
Full-color app icon. Works on any background, optimized for dark surfaces.
Download SVG
Higher-contrast variant with enhanced edge definition for use on light backgrounds.
Download SVG- Use as the primary identifier for Hangar in app stores, directories, and editorial content
- Minimum display size: 64×64px. Below this, use a symbolic icon instead
- Do not modify the colors, proportions, or remove elements from the icon
- Provide adequate spacing around the icon—at minimum 25% of the icon width on all sides
Nightly Icon
The development variant of the Hangar icon, used for nightly and unstable builds.
Development variant of the app icon. The aircraft is absent and the floor uses hazard stripes—signaling the hangar is still under construction. Used exclusively for nightly and unstable builds to visually distinguish them from stable releases.
Download SVG- Use only when representing nightly, development, or unstable builds of Hangar
- Never use the nightly icon to represent the stable release
- Follows the same sizing and spacing guidelines as the primary app icon
Symbolic Icons
Simplified, monochrome icons for use at smaller sizes or where a full-color icon is not appropriate.
The hangar building in symbolic form. The recommended choice for favicons, status bars, and compact UI.

- Maintain a minimum of 2px clear space around the icon at small sizes
